user research
In order to design effective user interfaces for technological systems, it's imperative that we first understand the users of those systems - their needs, wants, and goals. We need to understand what they're good at doing and when they feel they could use a little help.
And, because we prefer to take a behavior-based approach to user research, we interview and observe users interacting with products doing the things they normally do - our goal is to understand the differences between what users say they do and what they actually do.
In order to accomplish these goals, Inovdesigns engages in the following user research activities, depending on the needs of the project:
- Persona workshops
- Task & work analyses
- User goal analyses
- Contextual observations and interviews
- User surveys
- Focus groups
By gaining this deeper understanding, we're better able to design effective, intuitive user interfaces that meet both business and user needs. A result that, as you can imagine, makes our clients quite happy.
