Bill Pawlak

Bill Pawlak has over thirteen years of multidisciplinary experience designing, testing, and developing user interfaces for software, web-based, and mobile applications. He has experience in all phases of software development, including requirements gathering and analysis; use case generation; UI design; visual design; and user testing. He has applied his expertise to everything from very large, complex systems such as Air Traffic Control (ATC) to desktop software systems to transaction-based web applications.

Prior to founding Inovdesigns, Bill served as a Principal Customer Experience Architect for Seurat Company. During that time, he led Customer Experience efforts on projects for clients such as RE/MAX International, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Microsoft, P&G, and Agilent. Additionally, he was a member of an internal team selected to provide company-wide expertise on best practices for integrating Customer Experience Design and Usability Testing into the application development processes.

Bill's educational background is in Human-Computer Interaction and Industrial/Cognitive Engineering. He holds an M.A.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, from the University of Toronto and a B.S. in Engineering Psychology/Human Factors from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.

Bill is a member of the Usability Professional's Association, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, and the Association for Computing Machinery and has presented papers and written articles both in the U.S. and internationally.
